Giving back to the communities we serve is something that NCI is passionate about. Giving Hearts Day is an amazing opportunity to show support for charities and nonprofits in our area.

Giving Hearts Day is a 24-hour event for charities in North Dakota and Northwest Minnesota. It provides charities a platform to fund their mission through an increasing community of donors and is the longest-running giving day in the country. This year on February 11th, 2021, 41,959 people donated and raised $21,953,902!  NCI was proud to do its part by matching every donation made by #TeamNCI employees 100%. Together we raised $4,500+ and showed support for 30 charities. Below are just a few quotes from team members on Giving Hearts Day 2021.

#TeamNCI Quotes

Lake Agassiz Habitat for Humanity is my personal favorite charity and I’m thankful to be able to donate and have NCI support my donation as well.”

“I chose to support American Diabetes Association of North Dakota. My daughter was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at the age of 4. I’ve seen firsthand how the initiatives of this organization benefit those affected by this disease. It meant a great deal to me to have my donation matched by NCI.”

“I donated to Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Red River Valley because I had a preemie baby that spent 27 nights in the NICU…..I saw firsthand how important it was for other families in the NICU to have a home away from home while they were going through an incredibly difficult time! Additionally, they had one less worry about the expense of extended stays away from their home because families are not turned away due to their inability to pay.”

“I chose to donate to the Jeremiah Program. They support single mothers and their children by providing safe and affordable housing. They also have spaces for empowerment and life skills training, support to pursue a career-track college education, and on-site quality early childhood education.  The holistic support Jeremiah provides promotes a culture of accountability and success. While adding well-trained, critically needed workers to the local Fargo-Moorhead economy and ensuring that children are ready for kindergarten.”

4 Luv of Dogs is a charity my daughter chose as she is an animal lover!  This program takes special care to match the right home with the right rescue dog to ensure a lifetime of love for both the pet and adopter!”

Zach’s Foundation.  This donation was made in memory of Zach Rummel a dear family friend who lost his battle with brain cancer at the age of 9. His family created this foundation to provide joy, financial assistance and cancer resources for pediatric cancer patients and their families.”
